Conneaut Lake Concerts
Conneaut Lake is an amazing little town that has much to offer. From fun concerts to beautiful parks and beaches, there is always something to do in this little Crawford County gem.
Conneaut lake has a strong business community and is also a major regional tourist attraction. The borough is working hard to leverage this economic activity to support the revitalization of its central business district and help create jobs. The redevelopment of the central business district will include removing worn out public infrastructure and providing attractive, functional public spaces to encourage new investment in the area.
This is why CLCDC was recently recognized by the Meadville Tribune as a “2014 Difference Maker,” in their special one month series, Vision: 2015. Please refer to the article in the Media Coverage tab of this website for details.
The revitalization of the borough’s downtown is ongoing with the recent completion of Phase 1. This phase focused on Water Street, 2nd Street through 4th Street, with improvements including the addition of new pole lights and benches as well as repaving of sidewalks, curbs and gutters. The project was completed on budget thanks to the generosity of many in the community and Conneaut Lake Borough funds.
As part of the effort to keep Conneaut Lake Park alive, a non-profit corporation has been formed to take over management of the amusement park, The Trustees of Conneaut Lake Park. The Trustees are in the process of repairing and restoring several rides, including the Devil’s Den and the Blue Streak, as well as improving other attractions. The Trustees hope to have the park open for the summer of 2019.
The resurgence of the Barbara J is a major step in this endeavor, and it will also provide a wonderful recreational opportunity for our community. The boat will be operated under the newly formed, non-profit ownership and management of Barbara J Cruises, LLC. The goal of the corporation is to preserve and operate this historic sternwheeler for the long term enjoyment of the community. The resumption of cruises will begin this year, and the public is invited to join in on the fun. conneaut lake concerts
