How to Turn Off iPhone 10 Without Screen
If you’re facing any software issues or iPhone is unresponsive, powering off and restarting your device can be a good solution. However, this process may consume much time.
If you’re having trouble using the hardware buttons of your iPhone, you can also use the Assistive Touch feature. This feature works like a virtual button and allows you to perform many tasks while the physical buttons don’t work.
Force restart
There are a few things that can cause your iPhone to go unresponsive or not respond at all. This can be from a bug, glitch, or hardware issue.
The most common way to fix these problems is to restart your phone. This is something you should do regularly, because it helps your device run more smoothly, frees up memory, and clears temporary files.
However, in some cases, a normal restart won’t work. You’ll probably know when it’s time to perform a restart, because your phone will start to feel slow or you won’t be able to use certain apps.
When your iPhone starts up, it checks for software updates and repairs any bugs as they come up. It also makes sure you’re running the latest version of iOS, which fixes many issues that can be caused by an older version.
Sometimes, though, your phone will get itself into a bad state where it won’t recognize the power and volume buttons when you press them. Or, your phone can get into a frozen state that won’t respond to panicked swipes or silent prayers.
Force restarts are a good way to bring your iPhone back to life, but you need to be careful not to erase any data. Regular restarts are fine, but if your iPhone is stuck in a bad state and won’t respond to the Sleep/Wake button, you need to try a force restart.
If your phone has a red display or the blue screen of death, it’s most likely caused by a malware attack or a bad update. These can be easily fixed by a force restart, as long as you don’t have any sensitive information on the device (like credit cards).
Assistive touch
If you have trouble turning off your iPhone due to broken buttons, it’s possible to do so with the assistive touch feature. Assistive touch works as a virtual button that lets you perform tasks such as locking the phone, taking a screenshot, shutting down the device, and more. It can also be used to control a mute switch or volume button.
To enable it, open Settings and select Accessibility. Then, press the toggle switch beside AssistiveTouch to turn it on.
You’ll find a number of options under AssistiveTouch, including Home, Notifications, Device, Control Center, Siri, and Custom Options. Some of these are essential to your use of the phone, while others you may never need.
For example, you can customize the tracking speed and drag lock to make it easier to move around the screen. Or, you can adjust zoom pan to get the best view of the area on the screen you’re focusing on.
Side button
With the introduction of the iPhone X, Siri took over the Home button’s function as a way to wake and lock your device, snooze an alarm, and power it on and off. But the Side button is still there, and it can be used to turn your iPhone off without screen.
The Side button has become a useful tool for Apple users, but it can also be problematic when it’s not working properly. For example, the button may not work on certain models of iPhone or it could be damaged. If your iPhone X doesn’t respond to the Home or Side buttons, you can try hard restarting it to fix the problem.
In order to do this, you need to press the Side and Volume Up/Down buttons simultaneously until the “Slide to Power Off” message appears on the screen. Once the slider appears, you can then drag it to the right.
This method is the easiest and most convenient for turning off an iPhone X with a button. However, it does require a bit of patience and can take several seconds to process.
To do this, you need to open the Settings app and press General. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the menu and tap Shut Down.
After a few seconds, a slider will appear and you can then slide it to the off position. The slider will power down your iPhone, but it can take up to 30 seconds before the device turns off.
Home button
If you are using an iPhone 10 or other older model without a home button, you may be having trouble using the device. This could be because the touchscreen isn’t working correctly, or there may be a problem with your screen itself that won’t go away.
There are a few things you can do to fix this situation and get your iPhone back in working order. One option is to force restart your iPhone. This will reset all of the apps and processes on your iPhone to their default state, which should solve the issue.
