How to Turn Off iPhone Without Touching Screen

If you have an iPhone with a broken or unresponsive screen, it can be difficult to turn off the device without touching the display. However, there are ways to do it without damaging the display or battery.

The first method involves pressing and holding the Side button and Volume buttons simultaneously. Once the power-off slider appears, slide it to the right.

1. Press and hold the Home button

There are many reasons why you may need to turn off your iPhone without touching the screen. This could be because you are out of battery or if the button is broken.

In most cases, the best way to do this is by using Assistive Touch, a feature that acts as a virtual home button on your iPhone. It also allows you to activate Siri, open an app, and more.

However, Assistive Touch can be disabled by default if you do not want to use it. If you wish to enable it, just go to Settings -> Assistive Touch and tap Turn On.

You can then use Assistive Touch to activate Siri, open an app, and even turn your phone off without having to press the home button! This works on all iOS devices and can save you a lot of time in emergency situations.

2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button

If you’re looking for a way to turn off your iPhone without touching the screen, there are several options. One of them is to force restart your device, which is similar to a regular reboot. However, this method can only be used when the device isn’t responding to commands or is stuck on a particular error.

You can also use the Sleep/Wake button to power off your device. This is a relatively simple process that involves holding down the button until a slider appears on the screen. You can drag this to turn off your device.

This method can be particularly useful if you’re not using the phone frequently and want to save some battery power. It’s also useful if you’re in an area with poor cellular reception and want to cut back on calls or notifications.

For some models of iPhones, the Sleep/Wake button is located at the bottom of the device. Others have it on the side.

In either case, press and hold the button for around four seconds until a red Slide to Power Off slider appears on your screen. You can drag this slider to power off your iPhone.

3. Press and hold the Volume Up button

If you’re experiencing issues with your iPhone, such as a frozen screen or black screen, there are a few things that you can try. One of them is a hard reset, which is pretty easy to do. Another is to clean your device’s software.

You can also use the Volume Up and Down buttons to take photos (using panorama, video, and time-lapse mode), close apps, or turn off your iPhone. There are a few different ways to do this, though you’ll need to find out which method works for your device and then follow that procedure.

The first step is to press and hold the Volume Up button, then quickly release it. After a few seconds, you’ll be able to see the Apple logo on your screen.

Next, press and hold the Volume Down button. If you don’t see the Apple logo, repeat this process until you do.

To force restart your iPhone, you can use either the Volume Up and Down buttons or the Side button. You’ll need to hold both buttons for about five seconds, and then release them when the Apple logo appears on your screen.

4. Press and hold the Volume Down button

If you’ve ever had an iPhone that can’t be turned off the usual way, you may have found yourself wondering how to turn off your iPhone without touching it. Thankfully, Apple makes it easy to force restart your device in these situations, and there are also a few other ways you can try if you’re having trouble.

One method is to use the volume buttons, which are located on the side of your iPhone. You can set them to execute certain actions when you press them, such as opening a menu to control your media, ringers, alerts, and Siri.

This method is particularly useful on iPhones that don’t have a Home button, like the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. You can even set them to control Assistive Touch, which lets you activate different features on your iPhone with a single tap.

However, the downside of this method is that you have to hold down the buttons for several seconds before the screen turns off. This can be annoying, especially if you don’t have a lot of time to spare.

5. Press and hold the Power button

When you have a malfunctioning or damaged iPhone, it’s not always easy to figure out how to turn it off. Fortunately, there are some simple workarounds you can use to power it off without touching the screen.

The first option is to press and hold the Power button until a slider appears on the screen. This will restart your device, which should fix the problem in most cases.

However, if that doesn’t work, you can also try using a third-party iPhone recovery tool. These tools can help you fix issues like the touchscreen not working, the iOS logo stuck on, and more.

If you’re an owner of an iPhone X, XS, or XR, you may have noticed that the power button has moved to the side of the device. This was previously the Sleep/Wake button, which now activates Siri and other functions.
